I find it amusing that Obama is so laughably out of touch with lower-middle class Americans. The whole reason no one wanted John Edwards was because the mainstream media and DLC decided his message was too angry and abrasive (For the record: I love angry and abrasive). Edwards' populist rhetoric was aimed to give voice to Obama's "bitter" citizens. And now it comes as no surprise that Obama can inspire the 20somethings in New England and across college campuses everywhere, but when asked what ails Americans in the middle of the country he struggles mightily. This was the whole problem with anointing Obama.
